So Canon time lines that exclude Zebs are all the buzz  right now but there are a few nuggets in the Zebs time line that I like and I think might be worth saving. The question is what parts of the Zebs time line would you save and use in a Canon No Zebs time line anyway?
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

The big hang up is that Eastland moved the AD modules back to before the founding of the UPF in the timeline (despite the fact that AD materials mention the UPF).

I don't mind the Blue Plague, and my first read-through suggests it shouldn't be hard to fit in if I abandon the idea that all the modules happen linearly and consecutively  (the later Eastland already did anyways.  It's a slog, but I'm working on it.

Why do people keep saying "Valentine family" regarding SFKH0? Clarion is ruled by the Leotus line.

Warriors of White Light System Brief.

Valentine is the family last name, as in "Leotus Valentine" or "Leotia Valentine".

Same as with most royals today such as the British Royal line, the Windsor family. By usage, a royal's family name is not often used outside a historic/academic context, so it's most common to refer to "Queen Elizabeth" or "Princess Dianna"  as opposed to "Queen Windsor" or "Princess Windsor".  It has the additional benefit of preventing confusion as to which royal is being discussed, esp if they are of the same rank, such as Princes William and Harry (Charles' sons).

I don't see that in the system brief. I see "The Leotus line has held the throne for nearly 400 years," "The largest city on the planet is Valentina, the Throne City," and "Here, the incredible palace of the Leotine rulers sprawls over dozens of square kilometers."

Zeb seems to anchor quite nicely by pegging the Dramune Run module in the same year as it is in AD (61 PF).

Just remember, a broken clock is still correct twice a day. Wink
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

^I'm aware of that.  It just seems serendipitous that I had already chosen those events as an anchor point.

Valentine I believe is in one of the Fan Mags, I think...

I am personally using "Leotus" as the last name.
I noted there has been a ton of Leo-somethings I did some math on it all and was left with the following choices:
1) the author of the module system briefing forgot people live 200 years on average
2) there has been many royal families since the founding of the colony, and Leo names are popular
3) the people on Clarion die really young

I went with death ages varied a bit especially in the early years of the Colony, but there has been many families & Leo names are popular for some reason, but they are not the only names in the royal lines.

The colony is super old but the planet really is swamp, so rebuilding civilization might be a bit hard.

Clarion's human society has been stuck in the mud & was initially hiding out, so was an isolationist society till discovered by the Theseus Colony when humans start "officially" colonizing the Frontier. By the time Clarion gets found they really need trade and new tech & ideas. Clarion was originally settled by Human Imperial loyalists and people who where all the same religion fleeing a very angry group of humans & aliens after years of war over who gets to rule and religious persecution of anyone in the empire not the one and only allowed religion... so Clarions had a reason to hide out at first, but they have been there 1000's of years now and no one even remembers that time period amongst the Humans, and the Clarions have rewritten their own history so much as well it is a mute point for most.

Clarion is called Gollywog because a missing Dralisite colony was on it first, which pisses off the Clarion Humans. Some info on the colony was retrieved eventually from the sleeper Dralisite ship, Dralisites in my setting have a superior navigation computer to what the Vrusk or Humans had in PF time. So it was the combination of ideas from the 3 races that result in the current Jump Tech, the current shorter calculation time is because of the Dral Nav Comp components. Drals thus end up having a huge input into the names, but they did do compromises thus White Light System instead of a Dral name, but they refused to rename their first Colony Planet.

Anyway that is the basic sequence of events I went with in the end...
