Embedded ID on the forhead for simplicity's sake -- such as Teal'k from Stargate SG-1.

Peacekeeper Ident chip/tag/card (metal chips that hang like dog tags but are generic looking), Peacekeeper bioscan, & peacekeeper genetic scan machine (hands slide into jell like stuff).

TSR Colored Security Cards, never described as having obvious info on them, probably becuase not necessary for machines that scan them. D&D/GW modules (Star Empires)

TSR Colored Security Rings. D&D (Star Empires)

TSR Colored Bracelettes. MA1

SF Ident Cards

Tatoos (RL)

Microchips implanted (RL)

Hand Scan Devices (RL)

Iris Scan Devices (RL)

Thunb Scan Devices (RL)

How about a brain wave scanner for identification? Could be good for mentalist characters.

The olfactory scanner. If a dralasite can identify you by smell then why not a device?
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

That makes sense and in fact that might be a tech device they developed.
