I've watched a lot of Wayne movies but never Stagecoach with John Wayne.

Liking it so far. Wayne as the Ringo Kid (PC)  is being transported by stagecoach wulith a menagerie of characters ( NPCs) to face a trial. But army escort leaves them on orders and they brave Apache territory. Wife of army Captain gives birth along way and of course Apaches raid.

SF adventure: PCs start as convicted criminals being transported for trial on a Star liner with 1 Star Law marshal. But ship misjumps. Bad stuff happens and PCs needed to help.

Pirates, sathar, or zuraqor

Suggest your own Western.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

If you get past several hours corny dialogue and weak plot lines.  There are a bunch of cowboy serials on line. I've also found Captain America, Batman and Buck Rogers, and the rip offs.  The point is there is a lot of gems out there in the old westerns and serials that can give you a plot device for your next adventure.

Personally I would lean more to a reprise of Unforgiven or 3:10 to Yuma.

There is a certain appeal to hunting down those beyond the law or escorting a dangerous criminal nobody wants to deal with. Maybe blend them into one adventure.
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

You could use another theme from Westerns and have the 'baddie' actually being innocent but is being persecuted by the local law. The players may assume that the baddie is indeed bad but during the adventure find that all is not as it seems. There might be other factors involved.

Maybe we should have a thread pinned somewhere, or a project, that's all about plot hooks for adventures? One section could be for stuff like this (Western-themed).

Innocent criminal being petsecuted; sounds like a mega corp scape gaoting someone, very Frontier in theme.
