Love the supply ships and scenario. Volcanos for setting backdrops is an excellent idea. The skad is a bit Resident Evilish for me, but I like it well enough. The frozen planet consideration was nice.

This issue is lacking a little interest for me, but I'm sure it holds more interest to others. I appreciate your work guys.

Love the cover. I'd like to see a write-up on it.

Had thought about doing a write up on that involving the zuraquor but that never got off the ground.

It just occured to me that the fast supply ships would be a good model for a hospital ship. The article states that the have extensive medical facilities and a hanger bay.

I was toying with a new new campaign idea for my kids- Medical Services Organizaiton ship sent out on missions. The idea would be that their purpose is to help people which skews adventures away from violence (not neccessarily eliminating it). I had thought to do a HS3 Medical scout but expanding its diameter to the maximum but it would not be a big enough ship. Whereas a gigger ship with a shuttle bay and a HS2 shuttle ambulance (with atomic drive) would be able to race ahead to emergencies, land on planets, even be employed in independent operations in other systems. Eliminate much of the spares, workpods, and tech section as they are not needed.

Actual campaign ideas: High speed run to a ship to render aid, a piracy scenario where part A is dealing with the aftermath of the pirate attack part B would be more of a direct contact with the pirates. race to help an isolated outpost. could even transition to SW2 scenarios.

In fact I suppose you could say that the MSO ship was just a decommissioned Fast Supply ship.

I started a book on the MSO a while back, but abandoned it for a while. I recently decided I would finally finish it for a d00Lite booklet. I was going to call it Medlab. I will do it after I finish with my commerce rules for d00Lite, which I also ported from my Traders & Freighters book I had also abandoned. It's almost done.

I had originally came up with a whole story line about how Gretl Grohn became head of the MSO (Related to her curing the blue plague,) by politically ousting the former ineffective head of the MSO who had impeded her work, and how the MSO was eventually reorganized into the Emergency Response Organization (ERO). But I ended up losing that write-up somewhere.

RE: the KHs encounter "Supply Run"

I just noticed that the victory conditions sort of set up an easy win for the UPF player: if two supply ships escape and there are 3 sathar vessels and 5 supply ships. All the UPF player has to do is scatter his supply ships and run for it. The best the sathar player can do is give chase. Then on turn 6 the UPF frigate and 2 assault scouts arrive- if they maintain formation and go after the closest sathar vessel they should be able to defeat it in detail.

I didn't plan this but the Xxim from the saurian cycle in FE4 sound like the bokar in fFE8- Mysterious traders that dont reveal their home system with prior contact with the sathar.
