Has more of a Traveller vibe, to me anyway. Not too keen on the Coldplay-esque soundtrack.

I just read up on it and its perhaps not my cup of SF tea but just watching the short which was produced to raise funds in a kickstarter fashion. I felt the short was very SF in that its a stranded guy trying to survive an harsh environment, get a signal out for rescue, and hacks the AI/computer to have a method of independent locomotion (kit bashes a robot). As a SF character he may have tech or military PSA with obvious tech skills.

I also thought they did a good job of story telling without any dialog. The computer screen actually supplied dialog but it was not spoken. There was no exposition that came off lame to give us the story and for me that was a huge plus.

I liked it. Not a bad start, could use a little developement.

I did some reading and it will go in a alien symbiote invades his body and then he has incredible hulk moments and I pretty much loose interest there but the short film which portrays a crash survivor surviving on an alien world who manages to roll well against his tech skill and make a major modification to his electronic companion is almost straight out of Star Frontiers.
