Eclipse Phase is a transhumanist science fiction roleplaying game. It's also released under a Creative Commons license and offered in free legal PDF here. Take a look and if you like it, maybe you'll buy a print copy. It's not new but I didn't see it here and I've only just discovered this source of PDFs.

It scratches a very different itch from Star Frontiers. It's set after the rebellion of the TITANs, military AIs that killed untold numbers and forcibly uploaded many more before diappearing. Earth is a hazardous waste land due to left over weapons and nanoswarms from the rebellion. Humanity is stunned and damaged and split into factions in habitats spread across the solar system.

It's weird. The only aliens are NPCs, the Factors are ameboid but very different from dralasites. Characters can come from any of the factions and could be humans or uplifted animals or machine intelligence. Your body dying isn't the end of you either, your consciousness can be placed in a new body.

And it doesn't have to be the same body either. Your new body could be a sex bot, an octopus, an engineered brainiac, or a robot crab. There's mind hacking and psionics. It's a great setting for espionage or horror and even if you don't care for the whole game, there are tons of ideas you can use.
