I was just brainstorming plot seeds for the threads on Maze. Like the suggested what if a rogue AI was reactivated? What if it took over a LARP amusement park staffed with robots? Then I got thinking og a youtube video I once watched of a LARP combat where the guy playing a wizard was throwing marshmellows and yelling "Fireball!" The irony of that was that no one paid any attention to his fireballs and since he looked a little fat like me I kept thinking he should eat his own fireball. That said you really could do some cool LARP stuff with SF tech like the holoscreen- you could play a wizard and cast some really impressive fire magic as a function of the holoscreen. Even someone playing a warrior could use the screen to change the appearence of his sword to be a flaming magic sword. Robotic or holographic opponents could allow for a real immersive experience- like paintbal meets World of Warcraft and LARP.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

I just finished watching Scooby Doo Halloween special and what you said, Jed, reminds me of the episode of the runaway robot at the Amusement park. Same thing...

He should have lit his marshmallows on fire, then everyone would have paid attention.
