I read a small handful of Tom Clancy novels with Red Storm Rising being a stand out in my memory.

Surprising quote: "Writing is the most miserable profession but its rewarding if you do it right."

"The difference between fiction and reality is fiction has to make sense."

I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

I did not know that he died Tuesday.  It is unfortunate that he died so young (66).  I bet there were some great stories still to come.  I hope his family does well in this time of grief and in the years to come.

I hadn't heard he died either.  That is surprising.

I wish he had written some sci fi.

Let's raise a glass to his memory. For he gaves us plenty to dream about.
