There has been a new project started : Hepplewhite Crash I was just throwing ideas/mud against the wall to see what would stick and it occurred to me that the sample adventure of the hepplewhite crash could be worked into a full fledged module/ adventure. Fresh artwork, expanded adventure material, with goal being a module someone could print and play. I would certainly contribute ideas, writing and art. More people with ideas and some contributions to writing& editing and at least one volunteer to do layout if a PDF is to be published within the project (not required if we submit to one of the fan zines). I think this might be a good community project for collaboration- drop by the project and drop an idea or two.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

The original hepplewhite sample is obviously set post the Volturnus campaign. Since the PCs are given an aircar to go look for the crash. This suggests changes in the Volturnus setting that would have UPF citizens active and engaged on the planet and by extention infrastructure to support at a minimum air car opperation or at least recharging of parabatteries. I think strategic setting like what this is should get some writeup in the module. The adventure should get a 3-4 act treatment, new maps and artwork. There would be plenty of work to share around.

Going back to some of the interviews we now have I think we can safely assume this was one of those EXAMPLEs of how to play or at least do a small adventure that got thrown into the game because it was done. Frankly between the solo adventrue, the map based adventures and the roaming in the wilderness adventure (this one) when I first got SF I was a little confused as to the type of adventures this game was going with.

Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

@ Rattraveller: I think your assessment of why its in is probably spot on. However, that is not to say we cant take it and run with it to craft a full on adventure. I've been throwing mud against the wall for setting and City of Volkos brackgrounds in the project but haven't really come up with adventure ideas yet though Rum rogue suggested a Star Devil pirate angle.

Edit: thinking about rat ts comments while looking at the maps in the AD book it suddenly hit me this was "Keep on the Borderlands" writ as a sample SF adventure. hex map for wilderness wandering and ship deck plan for one of the caves of chaos. There is a slightly more attempt to link the wilderness wandering into a path of investigation but other than that its pretty much module B2)

One of my primary characters from the game is Rin-Blanka a.k.a. "Rinny" from that very scenario. Heading over to the project now...
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out
