Check out this scan of a Star Frontiers ad and tell me what poster?

Is it the cover of the AD box? That would have been cool. did anyone ever obtain this mythical poster?
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

That appeared in many comic books, and I even just bought an old edition of Asimov Science Fiction that had this page featured. (It was in multiple issues in 1982.) The image is of the original AD box before it was "Alpha Dawn". It's called "the purple box". I bought it shortly after it came out. I never got the poster. I would probably have ordered it if I had more confidence in my ability to use mail order at the time. My experiences with Kenner, Mon Chichi and Santa Clause tainted my confidence in it.

Never saw/heard about the poster but then I was just 12.  The cover is the cover of the original printing of the game.  That's the one I have and like Ascent said it was just Star Frontiers then, not Alpha Dawn.

Clearly there had to be a poster and I'm just curious to know what it looked like if it was the box cover art done as a poster cool but what if it was something else?

Sounds like a good question for the Google+ and Yahoo groups as well to see if anyone knows more about it.

I imagine it was similar to the poster/catalog I never saw that was advertised for D&D...
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

I seem to recall a poster available where posters were sold for a little while. It was something like this (though taller and narrower, more like the box):

I don't remember if it had the Star Frontiers logo or not. If I'm remembering it correctly, that I did indeed see it, then I would not have been able to get it because I didn't get a lot of money at the time. It took me two months just to save up for the boxed set (I bought Stormbringer first) and I had so many other things to buy at the time: Star Wars, G.I. Joe, and the like. (Posters were great, but I couldn't play with them.)

Yeah, they appeared in old averts for D&D and Gamma World, but I'm having a hard time tracking which of them posed for which ad, as their are conflicting reports on that.

Then I guess this would be the three:

Elise is on the right in this image:
This one was in the Gamma World image:

This looks to be the second (Cindy?) and Elise today (I'm sure they would be glad to put on some futuristic spandex for you. ;) ):

I belive the woman in the dress with a slit in it showing some leg on the cover of Top Secret is Gary's daughter.

Just a little add on. When I was stationed in Germany his son was in my battalion. Nice guy went to Desert Strom with us. Not sure how he would feel about the comments on his sisters.
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

I'm sure he's quite enlightened. His sisters were presented as sex symbols to sell the game. It comes with the territory. Respect is a subjective matter based upon many factors. In this case, when a woman is presented as a sex symbol, the qualifications for respect are fairly low. For instance, no one mentioned, in any vulgar way, wanting to have sex with them. So yeah, I don't think their brother minds, nor do I think Gary is rolling in his grave seeing as he was probably the one who put them up to it.

That said, they were indeed quite yummy when they were younger.

Sheesh. Do we need to have a self-righteous hand-holding powwow for the brothers and parents every time a woman presents herself as a sex object? Really, this is not the place for it, nor should we have to remind people of the age they live in or of women's liberation. (As aberrant as the sexual liberation side of it may get.)

If you look I said I was not sure how he would feel. Which means I do not know what his reaction would be. But if you feel the need to comment perhaps you feel guilty? Either way not my concern just mentioning someone I meet once upon a time.
