I'm exhausted.

School is ending soon (has ended for some)

Dance School recital was Friday and I had a lot of financial responsibilities with that as well as extra time responsibilities: getting the kids to picture day, dress rehersal, the recital and actually showing up for practice for my role in the parents dance (more like panicing that I was out of my depth and worried about looking like a fool on stage.)

Plus summer is coming and work will be slow and since I asked for extra hours the supervisor has been putting the screws to me with "You asked and if you cant do this I wont give you any extra hours anymore" which is just a crap thing for her to say since I've always been a go to guy for them when they have an early morning breakfast delivery. the reality is that summer will slow down and I need to get the hours I can now- not that I'm actually saving any of that money for the slow time in July in Aug.

Some family members have greatly contributed to the stress in all of this.

Its now Sunday morning and I've spent 3 hours working through a back log of email and yahoo group updates (some of which I deleted without reading).

I suppose I should log off and get to church and veg through a sermon- I'm giving it a 33% chance for the sermon to be just the next chapter in the book of the Bible the pastor is preaching through, 33% chance that it will be a sermon aimed at men to be more responsible and meet their family responsibilities (sure to elicit amens from the women present, why dont they ever say amen when the pastor is giving the business to the wives and mothers? Couple of those times I want to say amen myself but that would just earn me some daggers in the eye from the person sitting next to me), and 33% it will be a positive uplifting fathers day message of some sort and 1% for wild card surprise. One thing I'm sure of is that something said in the sermon will fire up my brain and get me googling something on the smart phone which will earn me daggers in the eyes from the person sitting next to me. Maybe I should sit by myself and say amen to anything that moves me.

I'm just feeling exhausted this week and I'm looking forward to a good sermon and some time with the kids at the park when they're out of school while I draw. yeah drawing that'll be some good therapy.

You impressed me to pay extra attention to the talks in church today in relation to fathers.  The take away lesson and quote for me from the speaker was that, "most people under the age of 25 are more familiar with the god named Google than our Heavenly Father. "  I think he was being generous to the +25 people because I often seek advice from Google when I should, and used too, seek it from Heavenly Father in prayer.

Funny thing, pastor nail all three possibilities in his sermon. Eph 5 was the next chapter he was to preach through which also has some really pointed commands for both husbands and wives though most women tend to tune out the verses directed at them and men tend to do the same. Despite preaching the hard stuff that was preaent in the chapter and stepping on a lot of toes including mine he still managed to keep a positive message that was rather uplifting and I had a good prayer with him alone after. Best part was the wife opting to not go so that i had no opportunity of becoming irked at her hypocracy. Had a nice lunch with the kids too before dropping them off with the mother and going to work. Its now 8:30 pm and I've rescued a coworker that drunk dialed me as I finished work so that i tracked him to the block party where he was staggering drunk, convinced him we were going to go find trashy women and then drove him home. So since i did my good deed i'm alone at a martini bar eating some kick butt good flat bread pizza topped with sausage and hoat cheese and washing it down with a corona michalada (spelling?). [For those who dont know a michalada is a beer glass with margarita salt and spices on the rim hot sauce and bloody marry mix in the bottom of the glass and a beer poured in] . I feeling real human right now and enjoying the pizza.

Waaa-hoooo!  Just got the new firepit ready for a nice Solstice bonfire.  We usually recognize Solstice by turning off all the power except the fridge and do all sorts of low tech stuff (drinking wine, candles, star gazing, or dance/drum circle with the weird polygamists down the street).
