I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

yeah I have a BSG miniature on  a wargaming base not a pretty collectors base, that I picked up at Historicon plus some old school base stars

It seems to me that if you could get your hands on a number of the Eagle transporter kits you could kit bash and build a rather interesting space station
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

I have some StarCom stuff.  Sometimes I take it off the shelf to play with the kids...they set up dinosaurs, and I have the explorers of DinoPlanet.

" Using the two screws on the underside I opened up the model. I carefully drilled a new hole closer to the middle of the ship."

Yep, there goes any future collectible value on that one. Kiss

w00t, that is cool that you guys have a shelf of toys.

Maybe that could be a new poll on the site?

In our house it is actually the china hutch in the dinning room that is the "shelf of toys".
One cool item we have is a Star Trek Hand Phaser Universal Remote.

Looks like this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyASedU2R18

My wife has some cool items in there as well. I am a lucky guy,
my wife plays mmo's with me, AD&D,I am also getting her into SF's
and some other games too now.

That's awesome! I'll snap some pictures of my gargantuan blue dragon fighting an ATATFoot in mouth
What do you imagine the poll questions would be?

Most of my toys are boxed up in a closet. The rest are in the garage. I don't have much on display, at least not like I used to back when I was a bachelor. ;)

We have a room accessible only by leaving the apartment (the door to it is in the stairwell) I keep mine locked away there as the wife is passive aggressive and likes to throw things away just to provoke and since some of my collection is 30 years old I would be highly provoked. I've even taken the precaution of taking a file to her key to that room and changing the shear line so that the key no longer opens the door. Its sad but necessary.

Funny thing we finally moved into a little bigger place so I have been unpacking boxes from a move or two ago and looking for toys that have been in storage. Still wondering where alot of my toys went too.
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

Except thats D&D, but then I'll be moving my D&D books from the small bookcase by my computer to that room since I just caught my wife showing D&D books to her cousin and he was photographing the covers. This is the same cousin who warned me I'd be sending my kids to hell because i gave them the Disney Cars 2 version of the game Operation since the cover had Towmator on it and its an ugly character. So no doubt I'm in for a round of D&D is of the devil in the future and someone at my wife's crazy brazillian church will tell her to throw that stuff away for the sake of the children and no doubt she'll chuck everything including the copy of the Hobbit and my sci fi stuff on that shelf since she'll be covered by religious fervor.

Dang jedion, if it's that bad I'd look into a storage unit. It's only a matter of time before she figures out how to knock the door hinges off or simply kicking it in. Knowing latino/south American temperments, I'd hedge bets on the latter.

Jedion, I had a very large 80's G.I Joe toy collection that was boxed up from my moving overseas. When I got to Texas, I did not have very much storage and so it all went in my bedroom in the corner. while I was deployed to the desert, my 2 yr old was not being supervised by her mother very well and found some new toys to play with. Lets just say "GODZILLA", no more G.I. Joe's. she did better than Cobra ever did at beating them.
