My wife and I had a nite out and we diecided to watch a movie. We decided on Apollo 18 instead of Conan.
We were very disapointed. It Should have been named "Blair Witch Project Goes to the Moon". It was so Dumb. And the whole thing was supposed to be cameras the Apollo crew had. Hind sight is 20/20..... but that was gawd awfull.
The bombing starts in five minutes.

As writers of plots ourselves we know that there is only a limited number and originality is in short supply these days. The whole subgenre of reality movies can get very annoying. Did just recently catch Quarantine 2:Terminal.

I would say catch it as a not terrible fast zombie movie. They did away with alot of the "Character has a camera" stuff and the exposition on what was happening explained the first one alot. Personally my favorite part was the bad guy's explanation of why and how he did it. Made him or her definitely a good villian to use in an RPG.
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

Blair Witch sucked unmentionable places. The whole excitement over it completely passed me by. I hated it. It was dull and didn't induce so much as a single moment of tension. Blair Witch 2 was better, but only because it fell back on traditional college camp, which is a far sight better than a bunch of people running around going "oh my God!". Anyone that bases a movie on the original Blair Witch style is begging for a flop. It was done once, but all-in-all, the experiment was a failure.

I liked Cloverfield once I managed to get past the fact that they failed to let us know that the monster was simply a mutant Godzilla infected with the Umbrella corporation's contagion. But they weren't just running around saying "Oh my God!"

Without the hype Blair Witch was not a great movie but saying Blair Witch 2 was better you could only mean it is better to have double heart valve bypass surgery over quadrable heart valve bypass surgery.
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

Exactly. (So long as you mean that 2 other valves aren't screwed up also.)

WOW!!!!!!!! I freaking forgot about this conversation and happened across Apollo 18 while taking the girls to the library today and figured, "What the hell, why not?"

Started watching it and kept asking myself, "What the hell? Is this suppose to be scary?"

And then, "What the hell, that was stupid!"

But then I guess I was warned and I should have remembered.

My oh my that sucked bad.

Have you ever seen the 1980 movie; Hanger 18
I have not seen it in years, but I remember being a kid,
let see in 1980 I was 9 so it was probably out in summer
of 1981 on cable back then so I was still 9. I remember my
goal was to watch it 18 times, mostly to driver my older
brother nuts over summer vacation. The hard part was
back then as a kid we always played outside so if I remember
correctly I only saw it 8 or 9 times over the summer.

Still one of my all time favorites,
and I guess anyone into Sci-Fi has to be Blade Runner.
I prefer the -Final cut Blu-ray- version.

Deckard [narrating] They don't advertise for killers in the newspaper. That was my profession. Ex-cop. Ex-blade runner. Ex-killer.

Guess I should have mentioned that the origional is a novel,
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep which is quite different then the movie,
like most book/movies really.

Ridley Scott is suppose to direct Blade Runner 2 for a 2014 realease, guess we will have to wait and see.
