So who is going?  This is a great convention, probably the closest thing one can get to a time machine to the origional Gencon of Lake Geneva.  I'm going and running a Star Frontiers event on behalf of the DGS, and I think this is a great opportunity for the Star Frontiers Community to make their presence felt as well.  I know people there want Star Frontiers and after reading a small portion of the material here I know you guys are far better able to present it then I am.

From the Garycon website:

Event Submission Now Open!
Sunday, 12 September 2010 09:01

We're looking for a few good men (or women). It's that time of the Gary Con year when we solicit all the great adventure ideas you've been meaning to write and run. So dust them off, write them up, and submit them to us to include in our event catalog. This year, we're definitely interested in establishing a reward system for our DMs and we hope you won't be disappointed. We really want this year's event selection to be the biggest and best yet! We're hoping to publish our event catalog by Thanksgiving, so don't delay, login and click on the Registration menu to get to the Event Submission page.

Early Bird Registration is Now Open!
Wednesday, 21 April 2010 18:37

Early Bird registration for Gary Con III is now open! Gary Con III is scheduled for Friday, March 25th through Sunday, March 27th, 2011, at the Lodge at Geneva Ridge in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The fun begins at 8am Friday morning and runs through 6pm Sunday. Gary Con III will be 3 days (58 hours!) of old school gaming fun in honor of the Father of Role-Playing Games, E. Gary Gygax. We've expanded our convention space this year and now have nearly 8,000 square feet of gaming space available 24 hours a day for your gaming pleasure.

Come join gaming legends like Frank Mentzer, Tim Kask, Jim Ward, Tom Wham, Mike Carr, Rob Kuntz, and many others. We have several great surprises in store for our attendees this year, so you won't want to miss out! Our badges are $30 this year, but we have a limited offer for our Early Birds, which is a pre-order special price of $15 for the Gary Con III t-shirt. And as always, our Early Birds will definitely get a swag bag as well.

If it makes y'all feel any better I had no idea what it was until I looked it up.

I'll be running Prometheous Calling at 10AM on Saturday if anyone is going.

Deep in the unexplored heart of the Chimera system, reigns a monster that devours anything falling within it's reach. A black hole. Trapped two years in orbit around this cosmic terror, the crew of Prometheus 1 detects an approaching ship. An answer to their distress call? A Dead Games Society event!
