These are another group of Aliens that can be found within the expanded Frontier. These races are very different from one another in attitude with one being geared for war, one being geared for...er...diplomacy, and one geared for mayhem. I hope you find them enjoyable.

Ackarian

Average size: 1.9m tall
Average Mass: 120 kg
Average Life span: 220 Years
Body Temperature: 37.1°C
Reproduction: Heterosexual Viviparous

PHYSICAL DESRIPTION AND STRUCTURE

Ackarians are a race of humanoids that follow the same symmetry of form as a human. Ackarians have dull green skin and in general they are more muscular than a human. Ackarians have dark blue-green hair that starts high on their foreheads and comes to a widow’s peak. They have ridges that run down their foreheads and they have solid blue-black eyes under thick brows. Ackarians have strong angular features and have pointed ears with ridges that allow for a broader hearing range.
Ackarians have a stocky build in general. They have 3-fingered hands with an opposable thumb. Ackarians internally have muscle and bone tissues that are denser than a human’s by comparison. The race has a six chambered heart. Ackarians bodies are a marvel of bioengineering being able to metabolize substances giving them not only a highly efficient digestive system, but gives them phenomenal endurance.

SENSES

Ackarian’s sense of vision allows them to see in the dark because they are more sensitive to ultraviolet light. The Ackarians other senses are comparable to a human’s senses.

SPEECH

This race has a language as complex as any Human language and they have about as many dialects as humans have. They have the ability to speak even the most harsh or guttural language in the Frontier because of their strong vocal capabilities, but have difficulty mastering languages that are melodious.

SOCIETY AND ATTITUDES

Ackarians have been described as “Green Humans” because of the many similarities that the two races possess. They evolved on an arid world  with a very limited area of land near the equator that is not arid, but is lush savanna. Ackarians were able to conquer their planet’s environment and eventually evolved technologically to explore space. Ackarians are expansionists much like humans, but because they have never united their governments and thus have never been able to completely put their resources towards exploration and expansion have the Ackarians not expanded in the Frontier as far as humans have.
This race’s many governments have been involved in a cold war for the last 200 years. They have massive ground and space fleets. Over the years they’ve gone to war with not just their own race but with Adrainians, Humans,  and Yazirians on a number of occasions. Ackarians have learned to respect Vrusk more than any other race they’ve fought because never have they encountered a race who are so linked in combat that it is like fighting a single entity with multiple limbs.
Ackarians are not members of the Frontier, but various Ackarians governments have pacts with the various races that formed the Free Trade Coalition and often serve as Enforcers or escorts for FTC Trade ships. It is mainly through these jobs that the Ackarians can now be found throughout the Frontier. The Ackarians that are found though tend to be adventurous types with more than a little larceny in their blood. The Ackarians can hold their own against most races in the Frontier and are known never to back down regardless of the odds, and often are at their best when the odds are against them.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Increased Stamina: Ackarians are able to remain active for twice as long as their Stamina would allow for.

Enhanced Metabolism: They are able to eat and metabolize a wide variety of foods and even the most toxic foods can be eaten and their effects only incapacitate at worst. They gain a +10 to any Stamina rolls that they have to make when eating tainted food. Ackarians who have ingested and are under the effects of a toxin reduce the duration of the toxin by ½.

Andorians

Average size: 1.9m tall
Average Mass: 80kg (male), 60kg (female)
Average Life span: 500 Years
Body Temperature:  37°C
Reproduction: Heterosexual Viviparous

PHYSICAL DESRIPTION AND STRUCTURE

Andorians follow the same basic symetry of a human and are one of several races compatible enough genetically that they can interbreed with Humans. Andorians have silver-white hair which grows on the top of their head and on the back of their head that darkens to black at the tips as they grow older. They have almond shaped eyes that range in color throughout the lighter colors common in humans. Andorians are slender of form, and their skin is a golden bronze in color. Their ears are naturaly pointed for a broader hearing range.
Internally Andorians are identical to humans, but their bodies are not as tolerant to alcohol as a human making it easy to get an Andorian drunk. Andorians bodies produce pherimones that strongly affect mamillian humanoids. It is customary for Andorians to take supressive agents once a month to suppress their pherimones.

SENSES

Andorians sense of vision is more sensitive to the ultraviolet spectrum granting them night vision as good as their normal vision during daylight hours. Their sense of smell, taste and touch are also more sensitive than a humans senses.

SPEECH

Of all the mamillian species in the Frontier the Andorian language is the most beautiful. Spacefarers call Andorians “space sirens” because their language is like a song. Few races except the Osakar can speak their language fluently though many races try.

SOCIETY AND ATTITUDES

Andorians are lovers of art and beauty and are culturally superior to many races in the Frontier. They are sensualists who enjoy pleasurable experiences, and their society is an enlightened one. Andorians are a very open people, and are very accepting of other races, no matter how odd they may be. The Andorian race is a peaceful race, who outwardly seem to be pacifists, but as their history proves they can be quite deadly opponents. Andorians have had one war in their long history, which resulted in the exile of the Aldorian race from the world that they shared.      Andorians are not part of the Frontier, but have allowed Star Law to control one spaceport on their homeworld and the city that grew around it has been designated as the only place where off worlders can stay when visiting their planet, unless they gain a permit to travel outside the city (which is rarely given).
The Andorian Homeworld is a world of lush forests with a mildly temporate climate known as one of the most beautiful places in the Frontier. Andorians have a deep love of all things natural and so have not utilized the great resources of their world except to build their cities and villas. Andoria’s climate is temperate to tropical, and the Andorians wear clothes as appropriate only because it puts the other races at ease, or because it is beautiful. They are a sexually open species, and this has led to many things being said about them that are false.
Andorians society is centered around the family, and is matriarcal. Andorians have a deep love of learning and art, and their culture is heavilly influenced by the pursuit of learning, and the creating of art. Andorians plays, musical compositions, and sculpture are well regarded throughout the Frontier, and many Andorians leave their homeworld to learn in various universities throughout the Core. Andorians are a very spiritual people, believing in a unifying deity that is genderless, but represents the harmony of the mind and body. Many Andorians strive to perfect themselves to show their devotion to this ideal.
Outside of Andoria, this race has found its niche in various biosocial professions, and they have ambassadors within the Frontier government, though officially they can not vote on Frontier matters. Andorians have great relations with the Ghed’yan, and Human races, and they will even tolerate Dralasites and Vrusk. They mildly disapprove of Adrainians and though they hold no hatred they will not deal with Aldorians.
Rumors persist of a slave trade within the Rim that has been kidnapping Andorians for the pleasure pits, and Star Law is currently investigating this matter at the request of the Andorians. Andorians pherimones and their skill in all matters carnal have given them quite a reputation, and though Andorians are very sexually open, they are not hedonists.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Enhanced tactile sense: An Andorian gains a +10 bonus to any skills that benefit from touch.

Pherimones: Andorians exude a powerful pherimone that requires mamilian races to roll an Intuition check at -10 to avoid feeling desire for the Andorian. This effect causes the victim to desire to please the Andorian, and though they are not in anyway compelled, refusing any minor request requires another Intuition roll.

Telepathy: Andorians are naturally telepathic. They can communicate with one willing mind without a roll +1 additional person per 10 points of Intuition over 50 at a range equal 10m/20 points of intuition they possess as long as they can see their target. Andorians can not attack psionically with this ability.

Belphans

Average size: 1.7m tall
Average Mass: 80kg
Average Life span: 150 Years
Body Temperature: 37° C
Reproduction: Heterosexual Viviparous

PHYSICAL DESRIPTION AND STRUCTURE

Belphans are slender humanoids that follow the basic symetry of a human. These beings have many similarities to lupuses having long slender ears that rise from the back of their heads and can move independently of each other granting the Belphan a wide hearing range. Belphans have large eyes that range in color throughout the browns, and they have a short muzzle with long sensory whiskers framing it. Their nose is small and seems to incessantly twitch, and their small mouths are filled with teeth that are well suited for their herbivorous diet.
Internally Belphans are quite similar to humans except that the muscle bunches on their legs are far denser than human muscle resembling that of Ghed’yans which allow them to leap great distances and their wide feet are well suited to absorb the impact of their jumps.

SENSES

Belphans sense of vision is about as efficient as that of a human, though they depend more on hearing and scent than on vision. Their hearing is so acute that they are able to hear frequencies that are inaudible to most races. Belphans however have a small membrane that operates much like a human eyelid that offers them protection from sudden loud noises. Belphans sense of smell is as developed as a Ghed’yan’s enabling to distinguish individuals by scent from a distance.

SPEECH

The Belphan’s have developed two distinct languages one which they use among the races they come in contact with and one which is only understood, and can only be spoken by Belphans because it is not so much as spoken, but involves very subtle gestures and movements of the ears and nose. Belphans are known to communicate with others of their kind at the same time they are talking to non-Belphans which makes many non-Belphans leary about dealing with groups of these beings.

SOCIETY AND ATTITUDES

Belphans are considered crazy by many Frontier races, because they seem to lack the instinct of self preservation that other beings possess. A Belphan will charge into battle against a group of Adrainians without batting an eye, trusting to luck to see them through. And many races quiver at the thought of a Belphan, Yazirian alliance that is rumored to exist since both races are very fond of the other.
Belphans love practical jokes, though their jokes tend to be dangerous and it is almost impossible to get a Belphan to remain focused or serious for long periods of time. Belphans however have mastered technology equal to the other races, and do produce trade goods so it is assumed that there are Belphans who are more sober than the ones common throughout the Frontier.
The Belphan Homeworld was hard hit by the Slithaar in recent attacks, though some speculate that most of the damage was done by the Belphans themselves then by the invading Slithaar and now the surviving Belphans are gearing up for war which is a frightening prospect. Yazirians have come to their aid as have Humans and between the three races they have begun to rebuild the Belphan homeworld.
Belphans get along well with Yazirians, Humans and Ghed’yan, and to an extent they are accepted by the Humma. They enfuriate the Vrusk and Dralasites greatly fear them because Belphans have a habit of wanting nothing more than to pull the elastic Dralasites into odd shapes, because the Dralasites remind them of a gelatinous toy they manufacture called Dralasite paste.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Heightened Hearing: Because of a Belphan’s heightened sense of hearing they gain a +10 to their rolls to avoid surprise.

Highly Developed Smell: All Belphans have highly developed olfactory senses. These are so accurate that a Belphan  can recognize and identify even very weak odors that it has encountered in the past, including people. Any Belphan gains a +10 bonus to his/her Intuition rolls to identify a person, or substance by scent, unless something has masked or removed the scent.

Heightened Jump: A Belphaan can spring up to 10 meters horizontally from a standing start and can leap down 10 meters without taking damage, landing on his/her feet.
