Looks like a clan site for the game.

It is an unusual site. Seems like an online game mixed with drug company offers.

And it's been around for years.  They've been using it for a long time.

How is it possible that they "own" the name. If the rights to the name were ever available then why didnt we grab it or another SF club. Its gotta be some kind of legal loop hole that would allow for them to use if. I notice that they have a subtittle under the name maybe that is the loop hole. Is there any confirmation on them "owning" the name?

No they don't own the name.  At least not the tradmark on it.  As far as I can tell, they are just using it.  Also, other than the name, they don't seem to have anything todo with the RPG.

I'm on dial-up...as the image loads the URL at the bottom of the screen has "wizardimages" in the tag. Is that image on the front page a WOTC file?

I find it disturbing one of the members there goes by "Wootmeister Tito".... now c'mon Larry, you been holding out on us? Foot in mouth
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

Seems like the ole situation of "not making any money off of it, so it is ok..."

I wonder if WOTC knows about this...?

I have accounts in Eve-Online (my avatar and name is my main char in Eve Online), although I really don't play all that much at all anymore.
This is merely a corporation in the game that is called Star Frontiers.  They are just using the name of their corp for their group's website.  They do not own the name etc. as has been stated by others.
A corporation in Eve is the same as a guild in World of Warcraft, basically.

I see. Thanks for the clarification. I'm ignorant of online gaming. I chose not to get involved because I knew I would waste away like so many other people if I started.

No sweat, Larry. I suppose lengthy hours of magazine formatting can do that to a guy.

Don't worry, you're not up for the Trojan Enz Boner of the Month award. Yet. Tongue out
