Ranged Attack Damage "B1, B2..."?

Refer to: Combat Mechanics - Ranged.

This looks like a pretty good damage system, but I don't understand what the letters are for (B1, B2, B4, etc.) or why there is no B3 or B5.

They look like indicators for the amount of bleeding taking place.

EDIT: Yeah, it definitely looks like he was planning to include rules for bleeding and either forgot them or discarded them entirely, CJ.

I know of four right off hand, all but one out of print RPGs: Cyberpunk, Twilight 2000, 2300AD, and GURPS.
