I have u/l'ed a new race in a format similar to the SF one.  It is based on Alternity/D20 Future's Fraal, but I have altered the text format and changed a few things.  It stated taking on a mind of its own.  Enjoy!

Did you copy & paste any part of it from any source?  Or did you write everything in your own words?  That's an important distinction we have to be careful of...  I likey!

I did not plagerize any text.  If you look at issue #7, you will see the origional version of the Fraal.  The closest thing I did was paraphrase a little, but the words are my own.

I have also made some differences as well.  I added the wanderlust quirk and their "interference" with humans.  The phonetic symbols I placed are actually standard symbols for real languages that use such sounds (African Bushmen come to mind).  Those cannot be copyrighted.

As for what they look like, well, use any Area 51 art you want. :)  The Gha!kuuk'aa deny any and all references to such human folly.  It has been quite a while since they have visited Earth.

Glad you enjoyed it!

I have included a nod to the SF#7 author.  I believe this version is ours, now.  This race has been copied into many SFRPG's.  Most RPG's that include them agree on many points:

1. They are an old race
2. Their bodies have been adjusted by lower gravity fields
3. They visted Earth
4. They have mental powers.

Whether it is FrontierSpace, Space Opera, Dark Conspiracy, Alternity, D20 Future, or others, whatever name the games give them, they are pretty much the same.

And, I'll say it again, the text isn't plagerized...

Cool! I wasn't accusing ya of plagerizing, I hope you know that - I read the race and didn't think the text was stolen. I was more interested in making that a reminder to anyone who reads this race and gets excited to design or print one of their own. I think we should also convert any/all other races from sfman... And put them up un the documents. Any volunteers?

I had already thought that the Vimh race (SFMan05) could easily be modified to appear in an otherwise human-centric setting. They were, after all, loosely inspired by the rats of Nimh anyhow... medical rats, with genetic changes to make them more human-like (organ donors, testing subjects, etc) that got away and spread like rats do.  It could fit here as well.

I will.
I'm adding my races also (due to be out in the next few issues).

I imagine even the core races (plus any other original races) might even be redone eventually, but just not in an actual print offering.  I guess the Volturnus races I did (adapted) for SFMan would fall into this category as well.

I know I want to play two races from that series; Mechanon and Ul-Mor
