All sounds good, Larry.

A detailed computer section for the ship is a must...a lot of the published stuff merely lists the programs but not their levels, let alone the actual main computer stats (function points, mass/SP, and most important for character interaction: computer level)
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

I need a little more detail.
Your wanting detailed computer stats which include;

Program - Level - Function Points
Function Point Total = Computer Level
Structure Point Total - Mass Kg

Yeah, kind of like the Alpha Dawn rules dictate. I don't think the function points for each program need to be listed, but the total (which dictates the mass/SP and computer level) probably should. After all, anyone that buys a "stock ship" (as per the spec sheets that will be printed in this format) may want to bump a program up in level and it makes it so much easier to recalculate the new level when you already know the existing function points, rather than starting from scratch and looking up each and every program between the AD and KH books just to see if the computer will end up a level higher.

Just to cite an example...let's say the following computer is available for a shuttle:

COMPUTER
(LVL:2  fp:25  SP/mass:8)

Analysis (3)
Astrogation (1)
Commerce (1)
Computer Lockout (3)
Drive, Chemical-A (1)
Damage Control (1)
Information Storage (1)
Life Support (1)
Maintenance (1)

With a computer listed as such, a potential buyer might wish to increase the Computer Lockout program up to level 5, and simply looking that one program up they will see that the LVL:3 is a 4fp program and LVL:5 is 16fp...so you simply add the difference to the overall fp that is listed to arrive at 37 rather than looking each and every one up to see that your revamped computer will be a level 3 mainframe.

I mean that's a pretty simple computer, and between the two books those programs are scattered out between no fewer than three referenced pages. Throw in a weapons system and that's another page to leaf through, ditto for specialty equipment (mining, cargo arms, and/or miscellaneous eqipment...each of which has yet another page to look through).
