Any Indianapolis gamers here?

I just moved to Indianapolis earlier this year and have been settling in (part of the reason I've been fairly absent since last year)... I'm now looking for some gaming groups and I was wondering if any of you are in Indy? I'd love to start a tabletop Star Frontiers game. Hope to find some of you!

I wish.  I still have yet to ever actually get to play the game, despite my contributions.  I'm in southeast Ohio, stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Sorry to hear... where in SE Ohio? I ran a Star Frontiers game at Origins a few years ago in Columbus...

Athens.  I went to Origins once a few years back, but didn't get into any games.

Great! I was thinking about starting up a game here in town - would you be up for it? Do you already have a regular gaming group?

BTW, I like the Hammerhead pic - too bad the show ended - it had such great potential!

We play pretty infrequently, we're all married w/kids. Our games are usually marathon sessions though.

SAAB was awesome, it seems like the good die young.

No problem - I travel frequently and irregular long sessions are better for me than regular shorter sessions. I'll PM you my cell phone number - give me a call next time you guys want to game and I'll run a Star Frontiers game!

I take a lot of inspiration from SAAB for how I envision the SF world... especially the gritty feel and star fighter combat stuff. 8-)

My aunt lives in Willard, and I can honestly say all of Ohio's the middle of nowhere.

Except Cedar Point, of course....

It had untapped potential and no one at Fox was willing to exploit it since it wasn't X-Files.

Great to hear!

So I've met a few gaming groups in the Indy area already, and there seems to be interest in a SF game. So if you're interested, this Friday night I'm going to try to put on a "intro" SF game to gauge interest in a longer running campaign.

If you're going to be in the downtown area, you'd be welcome to join. (Any others as well!)

We (my family) are currently trying to relocate back up tot he Indianapolis/Lafayette area. I know this is a little out dated, but have you guys had any success in getting a group together?

dang. that is way the flip up there. I'd be willing to drive a few hours for a periodic game...but even SF has it limits. maybe if you were close enough to Canada for me to grab a couple of cubans....

I'm in downtown Indy - I've had a couple of guys do SF with me for a few sessions, but life got busy and we haven't played in a month or two. I expect that nearer to summer time, we'll start up again...
