As if I didn't have enough grief going on already...

I might have to pull out my 2001 Star Frontiers module and pay a little homage.

Go and be with the stars. Cry

I remember reading Rendezvous with Rama... *sigh*

Father of hard science sci-fi, in my opinion.

Did you know they're making a movie from that book?  I think it has Morgan Freeman cast as one of the explorers investigating the cylinder.  Maybe the death of Clark will launch a new era of hard science-fiction movies?  Best way to honor someone's death is to remember the works of his life.

I was also thinking we need to pull out the module for homage. Anyone for refereeing an online game? With a little tweeking, I'm sure the two modules could be made to be more exciting, as they didn't do to well when they came out, but I think it's just that they're too large.

I borrowed Clarke's monolith for my SF game, but that game has been on hold recently...completely my own fault.  :(

In my game the monolith is connected with the sathar, but not controlled by the sathar.

Just imagine the mourning that must be going on on Sri Lanka. They almost considered him a god there.

I started the Arthur C. Clarke memorial game. I figure it would be a good opportunity to try my hand out with Refereeing while I remaster the module. Along with the remastering, I will also be producing a re-edited version to accompany AER.

The memorial game will skip straight to the U.S.S. Discovery. I just finished typing up the Discovery's deck plans for the documents section which will be posted.
